Volume One tells the story of how Rock 'n' Roll    came to a small carpet manufacturing town in North Worcestershire  influencing the youth of Kidderminster and surrounds to form skiffle and rock'n'roll groups.   Some became so successful they even carried altered states of rock back to the US.  The book  follows all the musical action from 1956 to 1972 and includes the authors own personal memories, of a time when a creative music scene went hand in hand with the wanton destruction of the old town centre. It was the start of the modern world as we know it.

Volume Two,  launched in October 2009, picks up in 1973, catching up with the lives of the local musicians who had sucess in the '60's.  Once again this book tells the story of Wyre Forest, its people and music this time during the last quarter of the 20th century and introduces readers to new exciting young musicians including Mike Sanchez and Karl Hyde both from Bewdley.  As in volume one the book includes the personal memories of the authors life as a 'musical entrepreneur'.
