The book launch for Volume Two of Get Your Kicks was accompanied by a great gig at Kidderminster's Town Hall.

The headline band were the iconic 70's punk/funk group, The Blockheads featuring the late Ian Dury's old pal Derek ' The Draw' Hussey on vocals. Their set naturally included old favourite 'Hit me with your Rhythm Stick' Supporting them were two great local groups,  ska/ soul band Supertonicks and well known rockin' blues outfit Slowburner with vocalist Paul's searing vocals and their intense rhythm section. Meanwhile John was on hand to sign copies of the latest book. 

The gig formed part of a week of music in the Wyre Forest raising funds for The Proton Effect and Spinal Research.
